The Lord’s Miracle

by | Dec 15, 2017 | Zhytomyr

Our Church met Natasha last Christmas. We were thinking about how we can celebrate this day differently than usual, and decided to visit people who are in need and who are lonely, and share the Joy of Christ’s birth with them. Natasha was one of the eople we reached out to. She was raised in an orphanage, and now is trying to build her own life in adulthood.

That night we talked a lot and shared life stories and testimonies. When we were finally leaving we promised that this we would all meet again, we promised to stay in touch and pray for each other.

In the summer Natasha faced new problems. She did not live with her husband , and she got pregnant from a man with who she had a failed relationship. She was hospitalised, because there were complications with the pregnancy. her friends and family turned their back on her, and inly advised her to do an abortion. Natasha said “I was in an awful state, I thought that not only did people turn their back on me, but also God Himself forgot about me.”

In this situation Natasha remembered us and called Olga, a woman from our church. We came to her and prayed with her, and asked her to trust God. We tried to help as much as possible.  There was lots of strife at first, but gradually, Natasha gave her fears and troubles to Jesus and asked for his help. And soon everything changed. God has sent people from “Missions to Ukraine” from the “Last Bell” organisation, also people from our church that helped her buy medicine and supported her through surgery. her relationships with friends and family go tbetter. Natasha said “I was in shock and filled with joy”.

Artem is already a couple months old. it brings us great joy to see how God is working on Natasha’s heart. God teaches us how to strengthen our faith, and gives us happiness and strength to live a new life in Jesus Christ!
