We’ve had a great time at a retreat with our young prospective leaders. We discussed 16 personality types and have learned more about ourselves and each other)) We were reflecting on how to find “keys” to each other. Had a great worship night, gave words of encouragement and affirmation. Had an incredible time of fellowship in the Holy Spirit.
First Youth Group after lockdown in Kharkiv.
We had our Easter Service over Zoom. On the bright side, people who live far away, were able to be with us. Additionally, we are able to do Bible Study and Community Groups online, as well as one on one discipleship. If it weren’t for quarantine, we would have probably never would have gone in this direction. We pray that we gain an understanding through the things that are happening around us, of how the Church should be reacting and acting in the modern world.
Our Youth Groups are now virtual. But the fellowship is as sweet as it has always been. We talked this Friday about how important it is to always look for opportunities, no matter the circumstances.
Last Sunday we had the first meeting of married couples, “Mr and Mrs”. We talked about the differences of men and women and marriage. We have missed this kind of meetings! Those who weren’t able to come, said they want to come next time!
Finally, the moment we have been preparing for over the span of 4 months. We had our FUSION concert! We had parents and friends of the teens come, as well as former members. During these 4 months we were able to build relationships with every member of the choir/band. God is slowly but constantly changing the hearts of these kids. Praise the Lord for this ministry.
We have had a girls’ night “The princess’ diary” and a guys’ night “Tales from the Galley”. The girls got together at Luda Sviridok’s house and talked that being daughters of the King means being princesses; the guys met in the church office and thought about what it means to be real men.
We have had a Thanksgiving in our “Courts of the Lord” church. We had special fellowship when we could share our testimonies with each other. We thanked God for last year’s fruit and set spiritual goals for the next one.
Last week we celebrated the second birthday of our Fusion! We thank God for our talented and creative youth!
